If a member becomes a victim of identity theft, the Victim Assistance Center is on hand to report the incident and assign a Personal Recovery Advocate. |

A Recovery Advocate is assigned to the victim's case within 24 hours of the initial report. The Recovery Advocate will work on the victim's behalf in order to resolve any complications the theft creates. |

A Recovery Plan is created within 72 hours. The Recovery Plan provides a roadmap for the recovery process and ensures that the victim's case is resolved completely, and with minimal damage to the victim's good name. |

Case Closure and Follow-Up |

Recovery Advocates are dedicated to restoring a victim's good name. To ensure that the victim's identity is recovered completely, no limit is put on the amount of time a Recovery Advocate spends on the case. Once the problems associated with the identity theft are resolved, the Recovery Advocate will monitor the status of the victim's identity for 6 months. |
